Big Darby Plains Scenic Byway
For those with a passion for nature and the outdoors, follow the road signs for the Big Darby Plains Scenic Byway. Big Darby Creek is one of the most biologically diverse aquatic systems in the Midwest with a mixture of wetlands and stream-side forests. Other stops along the byway include covered bridges, historic homes, pioneer cemeteries and even an 85-foot tall Chinquapin Oak Tree, a state nominated heritage tree.

Glacier Ridge Metro Park
Another unique stop is Glacier Ridge Metro Park near Plain City. Between 12,000 – 17,000 years ago glaciers covered much of the area. This beautiful 1,037-acre park gives visitors a glimpse into how the countryside was shaped. Visitors can traverse a boardwalk through the Honda Wetlands Area and get a birds-eye view from a 25-foot observation tower to see waterfowl and other wildlife.
